Pulse Clipper — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Pulse Clipper is a Chrome extension that lets authorized Pulse users save links to social media posts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) into their own Pulse workspace for research. This policy explains what the extension handles and why.
What the extension handles
- Your Pulse access token. When you connect the extension to your Pulse account, a token tied to your account is stored locally in your browser (via
chrome.storage) and sent to the Pulse API to authenticate the posts you save. The token is not shared with anyone else. - Posts you choose to save. When you click “Save”, the URL of the current post and the workspace you select are sent to the Pulse API and stored in your Pulse account. For supported platforms, the post’s public transcript/captions and top public comments are fetched and stored alongside it.
What the extension does NOT do
- It does not read or collect your browsing history.
- It only reads the current tab’s URL when you actively click the extension to save a post.
- It contains no analytics or advertising trackers.
- It does not sell your data or share it for unrelated purposes.
Third parties
Saved post data is stored in Pulse’s database (hosted on Supabase). To retrieve the transcript and public comments of a post you save, the post URL is sent to ScrapeCreators, a transcript API, solely to fetch that content. No other third parties receive your data.
Your control
You can disconnect at any time from the extension, which removes the locally stored token. To revoke access or have saved data removed from your Pulse workspace, contact us at the address below.
